  • TERI-SDC Biomass Project (TSBP)

    Since 1994, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has been working in partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to develop and demonstrate technology packages for thermal and power applications of biomass gasifiers. The goal of the current project (2012 - 2015) is to accelerate the use of biomass based energy systems so that rural communities and small enterprises secure access to clean energy services.

  • TERI-ITEC COURSES

    TERI is empanelled by the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC)/ Special Commonwealth African Assistance Programme (SCAAP), government of India, for this programme. Under the TERI-ITEC programme, eight courses are being offered for the year 2014-15.

  • The DFID-TERI clean energy project

    The DFID–TERI Clean Energy Project aims to provide poor households in Ethiopia and Kenya with affordable, sustainable, and market-based clean solar lighting and improved cookstoves (ICS). The programme aimed at reaching 20,000 households in 4 years (2011–15) with funding support from the Department for International Development (DFID), United Kingdom.

  • Training of ECAE's Personnel on testing of solar lighting system

    The objective of this project is to build the capacity of ECAE's Electrical Testing Laboratory personnel in the following. (a) Operate the equipment, (b) implement the test method, (c) deliver quality report, and (d) improve the compliance of local manufacturers and importers of solar systems.

  • Solar Transitions Project

    It is a multi-research partner project that aims to transfer techno-social knowledge on decentralized solar projects from India to Kenya. This aims to address the dual objective of enhancing rural energy access as well as bringing livelihoods benefits to rural communities.
